Brandon Sheppard Charges to Sixth in World 100 at Eldora Speedway

Three Top-10 Finishes Highlight Consistent Weekend

SHINNSTON, W.Va. (09/08/25) – Brandon Sheppard capped a successful World 100 weekend with a sixth-place finish in Saturday’s 100-lap finale behind the wheel of the Valvoline / Seubert Calf Ranches No. 1 Rocket1 Racing / Ace Metal Works Super Late Model.

The 2019 Dirt Late Model Dream champion at Eldora Speedway turned in three consecutive top-10 finishes over the weekend, beginning with a fourth-place showing in Thursday’s preliminary feature, followed by back-to-back sixth-place runs on Friday and Saturday.

“A strong and consistent weekend for us,” Sheppard said. “Of course, the goal is always to hoist that globe trophy at the end of the night, we just didn’t have quite enough to seal the deal. But we had speed every night, and my crew gave me a great car. We’ve been on the road a lot lately, and I can’t thank my team enough for everything they’ve done to keep us up front.”

Sheppard kicked off the weekend with a solid result in Thursday’s opener, timing in fifth-fastest in his 51-car qualifying group. He advanced two spots in his heat race to finish third, then continued his charge in the 25-lap preliminary feature by gaining four positions to finish fourth. He trailed Dale McDowell, Devin Moran, and Bobby Pierce to the finish, with Nick Hoffman rounding out the top five.

On Friday, Sheppard improved five positions in the A-Main to claim a sixth-place finish, setting the stage for Saturday’s crown jewel.

In Saturday’s $72,000-to-win finale, Sheppard powered from sixth to second in his 15-lap heat race to earn a fourth-row starting spot for the 100-lap World 100 main event. He held steady throughout the distance, notching a third straight top-10 with a sixth-place outing.

Sheppard and Rocket1 Racing are back in action this Thursday, Sept. 12, at Volunteer Speedway for the second annual Scott Bloomquist Memorial Scorcher, part of the FloRacing Night in America presented by Kubota miniseries. The event features a $20,000-to-win A-Main.
