Brandon Sheppard Battles Through Misfortune in Peach State Doubleheader
Rocket1 Racing Concludes 2025 Season at Senoia Raceway
SHINNSTON, W.Va. (11/17/25) – It wasn’t the season finale Rocket1 Racing hoped for, but Brandon Sheppard made the most of a challenging doubleheader weekend in the Valvoline / Seubert Calf Ranches No. 1 Super Late Model at Georgia’s Senoia Raceway.
Sheppard’s Saturday night ended early when he was collected in a lap-54 incident, closing out a frustrating weekend that had already been hampered by a flat tire in Friday’s opener. After the lap-16 puncture sent him to the pits while running seventh, Sheppard clawed back to an 11th-place finish in the Peach Bowl opener.
“Hate that this is the way the season ends for us,” Sheppard said afterward. “We were able to salvage a decent run last night, but tonight we just didn’t have any luck—there was nowhere to go. It’s a bummer, but props to everyone on the team for never giving up and busting their butts all weekend. The Dome is my last event of the season, but I’m excited to get things rolling again early next season with the Rocket1 guys.”
The Shinnston, West Virginia-based team opened the weekend on Friday, as the Peach Bowl launched the doubleheader finale for the FloRacing Night in America presented by Kubota miniseries. Sheppard transferred through his heat with a third-place finish before the untimely flat tire sent him to the tail. He rebounded to finish 11th in the 50-lapper.
On Saturday, Sheppard earned his spot in the $30,000-to-win Peach State Classic through a consolation race and rolled off 20th for the finale. He had climbed to 14th when a lap-54 multi-car melee left him with no escape route, ending his night and eliminating three other drivers in the process.
With his disappointing exit on Saturday, Sheppard finished seventh in the final FloRacing Night in America miniseries point standings.

While Saturday’s event marked the end of the season for Rocket1 Racing, Sheppard will return to action in his family-owned No. B5 Late Model for the upcoming Gateway Dirt Nationals at The Dome at America’s Center. His preliminary night is scheduled for Thursday, December 4, leading into Saturday’s boosted $70,000-to-win A-Main.
