Tim McCreadie and Rocket1 Racing Enjoy Strong World 100 Weekend

Tim McCreadie collected a trio of Top-5 finishes, including a fourth-place performance in Saturday’s coveted finale, during last week’s World 100 at Eldora Speedway.

McCreadie also added a 10th-place finish in Wednesday’s Castrol FloRacing Night in America event aboard the Valvoline / Seubert Calf Ranches No. 1 Rocket1 Racing / Ace Metal Works / XR1 Rocket Chassis / Durham Racing Engine Super Late Model.

“No wins to show for the weekend, but our Rocket1 Racing team truly had a World 100 at Eldora (Speedway). We got better as the weekend went along, but just didn’t have quite enough to get to the front on Saturday,” McCreadie said. “We’re back in the shop, working with our heads down to get ready for Knoxville (Raceway) next weekend. Our focus is going after wins and working to earn a spot in the championship four with Lucas Oil (Late Model Dirt Series).”

The 54th annual World 100 weekend kicked off for Rocket1 Racing and Tim McCreadie at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Wednesday afternoon with Castrol FloRacing Night in America event.
After topping the massive 82-car field in time trials with a blistering 15.697-second lap, McCreadie advanced into the $20,000-to-win opener with a heat race triumph. Rolling off on the pole, Tim faded in the second half of the 50-lapper to finish 10th.

In a pair of World 100 prelims on Thursday and Friday, Tim backed up a fourth-place finish in Thursday’s heat with a 12th-to-3rd showing in his 25-lap preliminary featured. He joined race-winner Hudson O’Neal and Bobby Pierce on the podium.

On Friday, McCreadie rocketed into his final prelim by passing three cars in his heat to finish third. Chasing a $12,000 payday, Tim improved three positions to register a fourth-place finish.

Leading the overall preliminary points heading into Saturday, Tim secured his spot into the $57,000-to-win World 100 with a runner-up heat finish. Taking the green in seventh for the 100-lap finale, McCreadie muscled forward three spots to cap off the weekend with a fourth-place finish. He trailed Bobby Pierce, Dale McDowell and Jonathan Davenport in the final rundown with Devin Moran coming in fifth.

Rocket1 Racing next returns to action with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on September 19 – 21 with the 20th running of the Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals. The weekend opens with $7,000-to-win programs on Thursday and Friday followed by a $50,000-to-win finale on Saturday.

Tim is currently fifth in the latest LOLMDS point standings, just 15 markers out of the final spot in the Big River Steel Chase for the Championship presented by ARP.
