Fifth-place finish in Illini 100 opener at Farmer City Raceway
Rocket1 Racing and Tim McCreadie returned to action over the weekend in the Midwest as Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Ill.) hosted the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series for the annual Illini 100 weekend.
Drawing 45 Late Models, McCreadie followed up the eighth-fastest qualifying effort in his time trial group with a third-place finish in his heat. Chasing the $10,000 payday in Friday’s opener, Tim advanced forward six spots in in the 40-lap affair to register a fifth-place finish. He trailed Nick Hoffman, Bobby Pierce, Cade Dillard, and Tyler Erb in the final rundown.
On Saturday, Tim raced into the $20,000-to-win Illini 100 finale with a runner-up showing in his heat race. Receiving the seventh-starting position via the redraw, McCreadie rolled to a consistent seventh-place finish in the 60-lapper.
