Shinnston, WV 03/15/17 - Rocket1 Racing and driver Brandon Sheppard prepared the Valvoline/Seubert Calf Ranches Rocket Chassis XR1 Ford Mustang to compete with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) at Atomic Speedway on Friday and Brownstown Speedway on Saturday. The weather forecast didn't look favorable for either event. That led the LOLMDS officials to postpone the events in the best interest of the fans, race teams and track personnel.
Atomic Speedway's event on March 17th is postponed to April 20th. The Brownstown Speedway event has been cancelled. Rocket1 Racing will attend the rescheduled event on April 20. Atomic Speedway's race will kick off a full weekend of racing with the LOLMDS. Sharon Speedway is on April 21st, Hagerstown Speedway on April 22nd and Port Royal Speedway April 23rd.
Rocket1 Racing will now sit idle this weekend. The blue Rocket1 XR1 resumes World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series (WoOCraftLMS) events next weekend. Driver Brandon Sheppard leads the WoOCraftLMS point standings heading into the events at Whynot Motor Sports Park on March 24, I-30 Speedway on March 25 and Lonestar Speedway on March 26.
